Rubbermaid 70 watt hps Grow

Well this is my second grow but first in soil. My friend called my and said he had a plant that was about a foot tall and asked my to help him with it. We ended up building a Rubbermaid grow box with a 70 watt hps to supplement it. We put some reflective lining in just the top rubbermaid.

I don't have any nutrients on hand... so i was wondering what i could get from wal-mart, lowest, etc. that could work. Its been flowering for about 3 days now so flower nutrients.

I would seriously get that box more light proofed, unless you keep it somewhere dark. If light can get out, light can get in, which will adversely affect flowering and increase the chances of hermies.

Good luck though. I love these rubbermaid grows.

yeah its in a closet it stays dark in there i'll probably just light proof it though just in case

Walmart doesn't carry any nutes you could use with that. Try www.amazon.com and look for fox farm tiger bloom or other liquid fertrlizers or try your local grow supply stores.

get some shultz 20-20-20 and 10-15-10 use the 202020 for vegg and the other foe flower . they are not the best but i use them and my plants are doing good!

The temps are between 78 and 82...I put a fan in the box to make the stem stronger. I also did a little LST on the plant, tying it down to the pot. This is the 6th day flowering with no signs of a sex yet. How long does it usually take to show the sex of the plant? I also fed the plant for the first time today with a small amount of miracle grow 15-30-15 cause it needs some kind of food. I figured miracle grow is better than nothing. But feel free to add any suggestions. It would be greatly appreciated.

I cut the end of a phone charger and hooked it up to that and just plugged it straight into the wall.

Are you just using dirt from outside? looks very mulchy and has alot of leaves.

the smaller ones usually have the ballast built in . larger ones use a remote ballast plg ballast into wall>bulb socket otherside of ballast=great bright light. smaller ones are hard wired just cut the feemale end off an extension cord twist the wires together and wire nut/tape>plug that sucker in!

its potting soil i just put the leaves in it to kinda break it up and let the roots have air to breathe.
