i am thinking of trying bubbleponics, i have the basic idea and am gunna throw a 1 plant system together to try out, but what i can't understand is when the roots get big and dangly do they sit in the res/water, does anyone know what i mean by this

Yes you want the roots in the water asap. They are growing in water and it is their source of nutrients that you add.

for my next question does the air pump need to be on 24-7 or can i put it on a timer at timed intervals or does it not matter how long its on.

thanks again m8. so all i need is to diy a bubbleponic system, get the ph right and nutes correct and try this method of growing and see which i prefer.
