Roots post harvest

I searched a few threads and couldn't find any info on what to do with the roots post harvest. I have done prolly 12 indoor grows and would burn my roots and put the vermiculite and ash in a hike. I recently bought a house and will likely start my plants indoors and finish outdoors especially the autos I'm about to start indoors.
My question is how do you guys dispose or reuse the leftover roots from a grow. Do y'all compost the roots and filter the the vermiculite or perlite? I just want to figure out the best way environmentally to dispose or reuse my harvest. The previous owners left a 2 level foundation metal raised bed and I was thinking about putting a screen on top with a smaller level scree in the middle with something underneath it to catch the fine dirt and reusing it on the next grow by some kind of composting form of composting and repurposing the vermiculite that gets filtered on the first level. Just curious and looking for ideas. They ng to be a little more environmentally friendly. Thanks ahead.

Put in a box, stir occasionally so the roots compost a bit, then use it in an outdoor garden. Veggies like all those amendments too. Got me through the winters every year.

I'm gonna try this after harvesting is done. Interesting read. Other than that like other suggested make FPJ(Fermented Plant Juice) or use it in your compost.

Roots contains most of the auxins and cytokinins in plants tissues so I bet it would make a pretty potent FPJ. Cheers!
