Roots poking through the soil?

Hi there,

My plant is doing rather well for a first grow but lately I have noticed that the roots are reaching the top of the soil. I just added a thin layer of soil.

Is it a sign of bad things to come?

How can I prevent this from happening?

Thanks for any informations

How old are the plants? It can happen if a plant is to big for its pot or the clone wasnt planted deep enough. More then likely plant pot size issues. What size plant how old and waht size pot you in?

This plant is about 12 weeks old from seed and about a foot tall, it's in a 5 gallons pot

hmmm and the 5 gallon bucket is full? Is it just the roots right at the base of the plant or the whole top of the soil in the bucket shows roots?

It is full, I would guess less than an inche from the top, and the roots are showing around the base of the plant only.

Thanks for taking the time to help, I appreciate it

It might just be that when waterin your just washing some aoil away from the base.Cover them back up dont worry about them and when watering go slow and around the edges more then right at the base. should be no issues

I was thinking that my watering might be the case, I won't stress over it but will keep an eye out.

Thanks again
