Rooting time for sativa doms vs indica doms???

In a hunt for a mom i found two great phenos... one was sativa dom and the other indica dom of the same strain. I cut clones from both and popped them into an aero cloner. The indica doms took 2 weeks to get 6 to 8 inch roots while the sativa doms took 3 weeks. Interesting, given that both donors were fed exactly the same all through their lives.

So i wonder... do sativa doms usually take long that indica doms to root?

I haven't noticed a difference. Different plants take less or more time, same between strains.

Some are a real bitch, some you can just chuck in a glass of water and put in a windowsill.

Also depends on where you cut, the vigor of each plant, etc.

They root when they root, but I haven't noticed a difference between sativa or indica.

I dunno...

I never wouldve discovered this if i had been able to choose between the two moms. And if i hadnt decided to take clones from both at the same time. Total accident that this happened, but i think i am on to something because i have usually root indicas fast in two weeks and my sativa doms have been 3 weeks usually. 8 never put it together before... just thinking that different times for different strains. But when this happened i went back to my notes for previous grows and found some consistency...

So i wonder if others who keep notes might see this post and check back like i did.

Usually, as mentioned in a comment above, different plants take different time. The same is with different strains. Though, many reasons can cause that, you can refer to this article since it's very in-depth in explaining the difference between sativa and indica. Hope you find it useful.

I'm hearing ya!!!! I've got about 7 strains. One peyote critical pheno leans pure indica and my sweet tooth pheno is about 50/50 . And it seems to tilt the way your saying. The half sativa sweet tooth I litterally sit in a container of water to clone. The indica peyote needs some real love and devotion on a warm reptile heater for 2-3weeks. Even then the sweet tooth will root in 5 days (small nubs showing the start) and have long roots a few days later

Have never kept records based on sat or indica Dom but they all seem to be within days of each other.
