I was wondering if any one had a tried and true cloning gel that you would recommend I use for my babies.

I personally think the 5 dollar powder from local stores works just as good as 20 dollar gel from a growshop. I actually prefer my homemade bubble cloner. I get around a 95% success rate as opposed to my 60% powder/medium method. The methods are endless and you get a different answer from almost everyone you ask. Just try several methods and see what works best for you. As far as a tried and true gel..... I'd go with Clonex

I think Ill go with the Clonex at first. I'm not doing hydro, so should I just plant in soil after dipping?

Sure. You can use soil, rockwool, perlite, or my fav. rapid rooters. Like I say, the combinations and methods are endless. Just do a few of each and see what works best in your case. I strongly reccommend the rapid rooters though.

i always used clonex untill i accidentally knocke the bottle over one day than tried the cheap powder from walmart and i would never go back to clonex

I hear that. I think it sticks to the clone better and stays on longer.

So I just order Clonex and some 50mm Jiffy peat pucks. I think that I'm going to start there. I'm sure as I get more experience I will try other things. It just sounds kind of dummy proof using this stuff.

do it enjoy it but do try some powder too its not as hard as you would think just dip it in water dip it in powder put it in peat pellet pretty cheap stuff unlike clonex so do some experimenting...

the brand clonex i would recommend better then a powder rooting hormone, just get some clonex, the powders when u put them on they will seek through the soil when u water, gels work better cuz they stya where they need to per say, and i get 100% with clonex just a little more money.
