Rooted Clone Question

I am wondering what the ideal height of a 400 watt Metal Halide light should be above my rooted and newly transplanted Clones. They are about 3-5 inches tall and are in 8" tall Circular containers...

Use the hand test. Place the palm of your hand at the top of the plates with the back of your hand up.Lower the light until your hand just gets uncomfortable hot then up 2 inches and your good
