Rootbound? Naaahh

How did I grow a 3'+ plant in 1/2 gallon of soil with a end yield of 3oz under 157w of cfl's using 8.2ph water and nothing but MG Bloom Booster from start to finish..

Yeah I had to water daily and the roots filled the little 6"x6" square put.. but it never stunted or got sick..

Is it really possible to for a plant to get root bound or is it just that they need much more water than normal because there's not enough medium to hold water for them to eat?

Visualizing that plant puts me in mind of what Modern Primitives do to their bodies. Y'know, pain sluts with bound feet and Kevlar corsets. Waterboard your next plant. Call it DWC.

lol I know man... It's nuts but true, everything about that grow was wrong and yet this is the turnout..

You are a truly talented grower imo. I wonder what glories that plant would have yielded with a less, uhm, peculiar choice of container, nutes, water, lighting ... everything. I am just so impressed. In the words of Booger (Revenge nerds 2):

Growing a weed is the first plus, growing a weed with good genetics is the second, proper weed feeding is the third.
You my friend are three for three. Pot size and a lot of the rest are relative.
If you were shooting for six ounces with that plant, you were root bound. If you were hoping for two ounces, you're
a pretty good grower.

I had no expectations with that one. It was pretty much a cfl experiment for me. I was pretty damn lucky to get what I got, it was killer smoke.

Now I'm doing a grow right, we'll see if I'm a master or not lol..

You're a better grower than me, anything less than 5 gal buckets and I fail.

I just did a 1/2 gal coco grow. turned out nice.

Someone somewhere, on here has a signature or something thats says "root bound is nothing more then a state of mind"

all it requires it proper watering.

I've had plants in solo cups for going on almost month and a half...beautiful and green.
