root space?

can plants share rootspace?
ie I have a 70 gallon plastic tote with five plants in it. Will the plants co exist or do they need their rooting sections separated?

With that gigantic size and only five plants, you will have zero problems with root space.

i did it in what was between a 7-10 gallon pot. started at 5 plants culled a male, 1 was a runt the others were pretty big. i did somewhat as best as i could try to separate each plants root space with hydroton balls. idk if it worked lol
