Root rot= curling leaves..PICS

ok so this is my first try at aeroponics and i just had a few question...The first one is do i have a case of root rot or is it just coloring from the nutes? I use Fox farm big bloom and grow. the roots arent really mushy they are still sorta stiff...THe other question is, is the rolling of the leaves casued by the roots problem of is it something totally different? :peace:

i have never used fox farm but using gh micro my roots look somewhat like that color.. other than that they look pretty good and that curling is typically a result of heat stress.. what are the temps like? water temps especially? i would add some more aeration in the water and lower the temps as much as possible but other than that your kiddos look good
 
The temp in the room stays about 76-80F. Im not to sure about the water. I have a separte tank as a res and I freeze bottles full of water and drop those in all day long
 
temps seem good... your res should be fine esp. if your dropping frozen bottles in there... i would suggest more aeration and depending on if your using organics or not i would say throw in some h202... but if everything looks good on the surface i would say that your roots are doing fine
 
ya ive got an air hole in there cause there is about 1/2 of water thats on the bottom but its weird cause the roots that hang all the way down to the water are still nice and white. I have use some h2o2 in there and some drip clean i changed the res today and just put fresh water with some flora clean and h2o2 and am going to let it run over night and slowly start to add nutes over the next 4 days or so... as far as the tops they look ok just the rolling on a few and slowed growth. Ill take pics tomorrow..thanks for all the help
 
ya ive got 2, one in the res and one in the box under the roots. THis morning i got up to a sad site. one if them is given up alot of her leaves are just lying there stright down...could this be cause there is so nutes in the water just 5.6ph with h2o2 and some flora kleen?
 
alright man get a bucket with bout 1 part h202 then 9 parts water and dunk the roots in it.. it will kill the rot and burn up some of the roots but the rest should be good... dunk for about 20 seconds then put back into your tank... get more airstones and a larger or another pump... and put fresh nutes in 5.8 ph... should be good other than that im at a loss for words..
 
yes.. anytime after you flush and clean go back to normal strength... in an aero or any hydro system your plants can get deficiencies really quickly for lack of stored nutes in the medium
 
thanks to you my plants are looking much better today then they have in a while!!! The one that lost hope stood back up and is looking much better. again thanks FLoJo for all your help....
