Root Pruning ?s

Root pruning is when roots grow into something like air where they cant live so their envoriment has natural controls...When the roots get exposed with the air they stop growing that way and grow more into the middle of the medium...

I have been reading alot about root pruning using chemicals or air, but I wanted to know if anyone has done root pruning with light using clear containers.

I have started using 2 liter bottles in clear containers I want to find out how well the roots grow in the middle of the medium with exposure to light...

Any input is appreciated. Thank you =)

Don't ignore my posts scum bags !!!!

Also I am thinking of growing in newspaper bags as 7" bags hold about 3 L of media 8-9" hold maybe 5-7 L and 10" could hold up to 10 L.

Has anyone ever used newspaper bags or no a good reason not to?

Pal,
With the attitude you're exhibiting you can grow in a pile of dirty diapers and smoke the roots!

Asking for help and then mouthing off is bad form.

Well if it isnt Busmike showing up again lol... I would have thought your scum bagging ass would be ashamed to post on these forums again but hey I guess some people are use to being scum bags... Yeah whatever bro you are the one picking fights on online forums. Would you mind if I used you to fertilize my girls?

It doesnt matter if I get answers or get another pussy ass idiot coming on with useless comments...either way I get a kick out of it

man...
the newspaper bags should work fine. maybe run them through the dishwasher first to sterilize them. and secondly, root pruning is a technique
used in bonsai. it will cause stress to the plant, but it's your project; if you are willing to wait out the recovery period, go ahead.

as far as groeing in a clear container, the main reson people recomend against it is light will cause/allow other things to grow too (algae and whatnot), robbing your plant of vital nurients and potentialy leading to worse problems. Roots grow in the dark, try to emulate that.
