i have my garage that i want to set up a grow room in. but i cant decide if i should build a room inside the garage, or get a green house to put in the garage, or to do nothing to the garage. the reason it a debate is because i se the garage for laundry and i dont what to turn on my garage light during the dark cycle. and i dont know if any green houses can support the weight of two 1000w lights and a vent system. so i know you guys have more expireince and want to see if any of you ad some ideas.

I'd try anthing once. If your greenhouse frame is sturdy then I'd say it can support the lights alone not a hanging ballast though prob need a shelf for that.
However if your going through the trouble to set something up and keep free of problems during dark cycle just build a room/closet/orcabinet and seal 'er up from light and then you could also have more control of temps/air flow/humidity/etc.....

Just a side note. I'm 90% positive police can search your garage without a search warrant. This is one of the only places in your house that you can be searched without a warrant.

I think I read that in the security section of the FAQ on this site. Laws may be different by states/provinces/whatever, but just a friendly cation =)

I may be wrong, but I believe the laws to which you are referring have to do with detached garages, as they are not technically part of the residence.

you'll have to seal off a flower room from light anyway. if you are worried about interupting light schedules, you can get a green light for working in the "dark".

i dont have to worry about the law i life in northern cali and i am under the legal amount. but the other option i was considering was building a frame them then using mylar as the wall. my denentions are 11-9 1/2-9-1/2. and the only open sides are the 11 and the top of the would be grow room.
