Roof Grow? 11.5" Only...

Hey everyone,

Yesterday I was fixing a burnt out bulb in my shower (I needed to remove a tile on the roof to get to the light) and then I started thinking...

I have a tiled basement roof (the white tiles, almost chalky tiles. I cant think of the exact name for some reason) but I have a VERY small height of 11.5" from the roof to the tile. Could I grow a plant in there? I realize I would need side lights and have to trim it but would it be worth growing and harvesting?

I know there is lowrider seeds out there but I am wondering if I can take any plain old seed, plant it, keep it trimmed, and get some bud from it? It would be great for a small personal grow. No light is emitted and I could probably keep the smell down.

Thanks

Haha, I've always thought about crazy possibilities like this. I've seen a ton of things like vertical farming, but I havent seen any of them crammed into a foot vertical space.

hell man, I'd say it's worth a try. You could test the theory for very cheap. BEfore you had to buy nutes, or even make true plans on the setup, all you gotta do is get the bare essentials. Just germ a seed in a rockwool plug. If you have access to it you should get a square foot of it if you can. Once it's working on it's second set of leaves, just put it in the rockwool square... except horizontally.

Hmm I could try to grow vertically. Problem is it would be my first grow ever so doing a vertical one would be, well...an experience. Maybe I should try to get some lowryder seeds? Dont really feel like investing $60 on something I might not even do though, lol.

I think I am going to give this a go. Ill put lights all around it and some mylar around it to hopefully encourage more sideways growing, keep it trimmed and see how it goes. I need to wait on some seeds. My buddy said he could get a ton for $10 but I am not sure.
