edit: Your zeal to show RP in a bad way has blinded you. Wiki says:
"On March 4, 2008, John McCain earned enough pledged delegates to become the Republican presumptive nominee, but Ron Paul decided to continue his run.[12]"

In fact he was the last one to drop out. He even had a rally of his own in Minneapolis while the R convention was going on and drew over 10,000 people.
