Rockwool

High all dugout here. I have a quick question. I have rockwool cubes 1" and 4" and I was told by the company that I got my unit from and he told me that the 4" block would hold to much water to use in my unit this didn't seem to make sense to me but he did not know what I was going to grow. Does anyone know if this is true I have just went through a learning period with some seeds that I got from a bag I had. I made a lot of mistakes but I learned from it and I am ready to start my good seeds so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hey burn one for me all. Germinate the seeds in moist papertowel in the dark. Once cracked and you can see the root tip, put it in the 1" cubes (root tip down). I soak my cubes in a water/grozyme mix first. Keep the rockwool moist but not too wet. I also use a dome on mine too to maintain humidty and temp.:peace:

i aways presoak my rocwool in 5.5 ph water for 24 hours. if the rocwool gets to wet than you need to water less. simple as that. rocwool is designed to hold moisture so just keep damp not wet and you should have no problems
