Rockwool soaked in undercurrent

Everything I've read besides one individual has stated that 1gpw is the standered. I have no clue I just thought I did a pretty good job in quality and quantity. I only compared because I used the same setup last time except this time I used 3" cups and last time I used 5".

Water is on a water chiller 68-70

The reason why I believe it's the rockwool is two fold. First the rockwool was soaked and everything I've read is it can cause stem and root issues. Secondly the condition of the roots got worse the closer to the rw they got.

Maybe I'm wrong but it just seemed as though the root rot was moving down the roots and not up the roots. The rockwool was literally falling apart.

As for how the stem looked. I put them out in my garden and didn't really look. Better than throwing them out and funny enough they're doing fine.

Perhaps I got one of those rot problems I've read about that no matter what you do you can't get rid of it. Forget the name.

Not to mention the came from a dirt coco mix and it was impossible to get it all off. They also had no roots or brown roots. Perhaps they came to me with an issue?

When it first went bad it made no sense.
Temp 75
Humidity 70
Water 68-70
Water level an 1" or 2" below the net pot
A layer of hydroton underneath and around
Nutes ec .4
Ph 6.0

It made no sense to get this in a brand new sterile system and room!
