Rock Wool Questions

What size should I get?

Holes or no holes? The holes look pretty big.

And when the plant out grows the rock wool do you just plant the whole thing into a pot or do u have to remove the rock wool.

Size of the cube is based on the size of the net or hole you are putting it in. I get the 1 inch cubes for cutlings/seeds then the 3inch (with the hole for the 1 inch) to put into my nets. The 3inch fits just fine into 4inch net pots, but I just rip then corners off to fit them into a smaller net. Rockwool is a medium, just like soil, coco fiber, hydrotron, e.t.c. the plants will grow through the rockwool, so pulling it off you will pull off roots too. You shouldn't have to remove the rockwool but if you do be very very very VERY careful about the roots, which you will hurt because the small roots are fine little hairs.
