Used these ingredients along with a cup of premium compost/castings and a 1/4 cup malted barley in a paint strainer.

Jeez man, from reading all the guys comments on AFN(Mr OldBoy and Sleezy), you sure got organics down pat fast. I like how clean and organized you're setup is too. I can't wait to have a bigger space and do more when my state makes it legal here. Too scared at the moment XD nice plants for sure.

Thanks Matty!!!! I'm still learning, had a tough time with seedlings on round 1. This round is deffo better without gnats effing things up. But man the buds are far and away better than anything I've had to date. If it's quality your looking for, than LOS is the way, yield is lesser, but not by a lot.
My state sucks too bro, but I don't care about unjust law. Soon we will have Canna freedom in US, I hope.

I would try soil, a REAL healthy soil if it was legal and i had a place outside for it. I don't know if I'd do it inside though. I'd just be nervois about the pests leaving the grow area. I've always heard how great organic flowers are.

I agree... I love soil, but i DON'T like the bugs that vome with it!!! But i guess that's due to all the nutrients in the organic soil???

A healthy soil does have bugs, it is the pests that cause us problems. The predator bugs keep the pests under control, and contribute to nutrient cycling. If bugs are too much, stick with another method.

How do you utilize predator bugs indoors, cause i love growing in soil???

Mine came in the oly mountain fish compost that I use for top dressing. Rove beetles, centipede looking bugs, tiny little critters, and nematodes. Also neem cake meal and karanja meal will prevent pests, while feeding your plants.

When i buy composted soil it always has wood chips in it... That can't be the only way it comes???

The OMFC I use has a small amount of wood chips. The wood chips break down too, just a lot slower. A small amount of wood is beneficial, too much and things might get wonky.
Compost is the most important part of the soil, so you want premium compost. Box stores don't have anything worth a shit. I can attest to OMFC being of the highest quality, and you get beneficial bugs to boot. Costed $45 for a cubic foot bag, worth every penny. I'm only using it for teas and top dressings and will last a good while. Oh and they age it for 2-3 years before selling it.

A good soil will be made up of these 3 parts.

1/3 peat moss
1/3 compost and or castings
1/3 drainage (lava rock, pumice, perlite, vermiculite, rice hulls, ECT.)

Then the amendments go in, and then let it cook for at least a month. Then adding in some worms is a great thing to do. Pop in a seed/seedling.

Price went up apparently.
