Ripped off roots whilst flowering.

5 days ago I transplanted my plant into a bigger pot and accidentally ripped off like 1/3 of the roots. The plant had been flowering for a week or so and now the stems of new growth are going pretty dark purple. One of the first pistils that showed has now gone purple and shriveled, although there has been loads of new growth since the accident and there are loaaads of new pistils forming where the top kola's will be. Some of the stipules in the new growth have purple tips as well, which is a bit worrying.

Is this a major fuck-up, or does it sound like I narrowly escaped having a dead plant on my hands? Also, do you think the stress will turn her into a hermie?

Also, is there anything I can do now to help her in her time of stress? thanks.

give her a hit of some weed ... that always relives my stress LOL
actually i think you should be good to go the roots ought to recover in time for the plant to come out of this purpling cycle.
i dont think it will go hermie on you but you may want ro ease off the nutrients a little until the roots catch back up because with fewer roots it wont be able to uptake as many nutes

Okay that's a relief! I'll lay off the nutes for the moment and let her catch her breath again. I don't think the plant will die because it almost happened a week ago now and she is still growing!

That's good to hear man, I would have freaked! Sounds like you kept a cool head though and made it through it alright. Good Job!

I felt totally sick at first, but managed to stay a bit calm!

Here's a pic of some new growth with the purple tinged Stip's.
