Idk about you @Laughing Grass but we wanted to be just like everyone else who is ALLOWED to do this.
It is important. Marriage is not to be taken lightly. For me, there’s never been nor will there be a reason to leave.
Gay people, mostly because we’ve never been allowed to be married, seem to leave relationships faster. It’s easier if there’s no kids, property, mortgage, hell even family members to share. We do seem to split up the friends, unfortunately.
Do you girlfriend. Don’t listen to any of us old farts, shit we’re all stoned anyway.
I think RBG would approve of our marriages. As a matter of fact she did.

It is something that I do want. I've had a pretty easy go at life because of the sacrifices those who came before me made, and I think I'd be doing them a disservice if I didn't take advantage of the rights they fought for.

I had a hard time sleeping last night so I watched an RBG documentary on democracy now. I know about the landmark cases in the supreme court but not much about RBG herself. Such a remarkable woman and I didn't realize how much of a feminist crusader she was. Best quote towards the end of the documentary is when they asked her when there will be enough women on the supreme court, her response was a deadpan when there are nine.
