RI h7610 - changes to current mm law

Some real passion in this thread. If you believe in sustainability, then you should be standing up against these efforts to destroy what has been built up over the last 8 years in Rhode Island.

Generations of people in this state have sat back and said "oh, they wouldn't really pass a law that's gonna hurt us. I trust them." Well, we are hurting here. We have the highest unemployment in the country, the worst roads in the world, and the only people moving into the state are people who don't work who heard through word of mouth about our legendary welfare benefits and want to get paid to "sit on their ass all day" as Wavegem said. That's not sustainable. And the politicians we have now just don't care. All they want is to take more of our money and keep that welfare money train rolling for their non-working voters. I've talked to my colleagues at work about these issues, and they are fired up. Why the hell should we get up in the morning and go to work every day so that a bunch of parasites who don't work can watch 55" TV's, drive nice cars, and live in a free apartment on our tax dollar. The front page article in the Journal the Sunday before last was entitled "Rebuilding Olneyville." They want to dump $100 Million into Manton Heights projects because they're not nice enough for the "working families" who live there. Deep into the article the author slips in the cold hard fact that 70% of the people living in Manton Heights are not working. I mean I don't care if you are a mechanic, a bartender, an engineer, a receptionist, a machinist, a sales rep, or if you just grow an incredible garden and live off your land; it should really piss you off that the big focus today (yea, Providence Journal, I mean you) is on people who don't contribute to Rhode Island, and Rhode Islanders who work are supposed to pay for it all.

Our big problem as growers is there's no lobbyist for the patient/caregiver community in Rhode Island. Curt Shilling had a lobbyist. You can bet Alex + Ani has a big lobby.

We need to step up and replace these old crows in the General Assembly. That's the only way we're going to get real change here. That's my rant.

Wouldn't be the first time an industry backed laws that are bad for the consumer but good for them. But that's just speculating. What is real though is that TCS is not a thriving enterprise. I've bought my meds there since moving back and starting my own, and I can see what the problem is. They had eight flowers on the menu yesterday, and a guy in front of me dropped twelve hundred bucks leaving like four or five strains of mids. They have only one grower that is good imho. When they opened last year they looked like they could be well stocked with quality meds, now it's rather depressing and the prices have gone up to boot. For whatever reason, growers aren't taking them good product and their own grow staff aren't getting it done either. I sure don't want to be stuck

buying there and don't expect anyone else would. The rules do tip things in their favor... but as usual it won't help to legislate because it just would drive people back to the shadows again.

what confuses me is how slater thinks they can survive with 99 plant and no meds from an outside source... unless there is a secondary amendment after this law would be passed allowing a "random" commercial size grower to grow for just them.(sarcasm)

think about it, slater in favor of a law which UN- stocks the shelfs which pays there bills. this is a place that has family up high in politics and police. they support a bill to take out there competition then they amend the law for a comercial grow to supply them all they need... until its legal anyways.(possible test run for the commercial growing for the 10 stores when legal with no help from cardholders)

remember how the political side of things work in our lovely state. they always have personal agenda

this is based off slater center being 'for' the bill which is what you guys are making it sound. if your unsure then should say its speculation cause it makes people start thinking crazy thoughts lol !!!

Ricky read the bill ...

if this passes the cc's can grow as many plants as they need (limitless) to cover their patients .

also no one noted the change of "usable " marijuana to include wet weight ! What's 10 wet zips dry down to ? 3 or 4 ?

99 plants is plenty. 1 light per plant scrog in 5 gal buckets is not though. Growing trees with 4-5 times that amount of light will do much better and be way more profitable. I can eat up 1000 amps with 24 plants easy, you read that right 1 thousand amps. Beast mode is what they need not closet growers.

99 thousand watts is what they have if 1 plant per light. I am running 24 k on 8 plants that's one room

I 100% percent without a doubt know I can pull 6 a plant. I pull 3 right now with 7 foot ceilings and 600s. Double the space double the light double the yield. I grow trees and know how to train. Gpw doesn't mean anything when growing trees. 1 a light is perfect at .08 cents a kilowatt I would rather grow trees. And actually anybody limited in plants should grow trees. Slater could have benefited tremendously but the room cost would have 3 times as much

What's the police gonna say about one plant?

6lbs plus a plant? I grow tree style as many do to maximize yields and stay legal but those are some crazy high numbers..I'd love to see that.

Yo people hit 10-12 outdoors in 200 gal smart pots. I know for a fact it's possible

I said with my setup currently pulling 3 per 1 per light. If I had more space with the same setup I would pull more. If I double the light, space and get bigger buckets it's possible to hit 6. Again 7 foot ceilings and 600 s

all I am getting at is that 99 plants is plenty. If grew all 24 trees with the same setup I could potentially harvest 75 a run with just 24 plants. If you did 100 plants like this you would 300 lbs a harvest and if you doubled the light you would at least pull 500 lbs every harvest which is phenomenally better than what they are pulling.

Same amount of light actually 27k on 16 plants will give me better numbers

I dont care care how much power I draw as long as I have 24 plants
