RH for clones

so just took clones. They are in a box I made that is 4ft long and 1ft wide by 1ft high. The top is open but I covered it in plastic wrap for now because it's all I had. The humidity won't go over 50%. I can put a humidifier in there tomorrow but curious if they will be ok in there overnight like that. I really thought the humidity would rise higher. I sprayed them and have a tray of water sitting next to them. Just thought if anyone has experience with clones in low humidity they might let me know how it worked out for them. I'll have it up to 80-90 tomorrow but till then it's gonna have to stay at 50.

dont worry too much about keeping a steady high RH.
mist daily and keep em warm and you shouldn't have problems.

I use rock wool with a clone dome/ heat mat.

soak rockwoll in 1/4 strength bloom nute for half hour before placing cutting in.

i fill the clone tray with water ( making sure my rockwoll aint soaking in it) mist the lid and close the flap.
open the lid to replace the air daily, mist and replace evaporated water in the tray.

I was super surprised on how easy it was to take clones when i first started. i think you will too.
that being said ive herd of some strains not liking to be cloned that i have yet to encounter.

Good luck, happy growing.

Thanks man it actually came up to 80 after I misted again. They are all kinda droopy now though. Temp is at 25, humidity 80%, is it normal to droop the first day? Only cut them about ten hours ago.

yeah thats normal. just a little stressed out from being amputated.

Lol just a little amputation. No big deal. They look a lot better today. Hopefully they all take root!

I most of the time get 90% on clones last batch was 10%, like wtf. Figure my equipment went contaminated and had to sanitize everything.

Long story short it is easy if you follow good housekeeping policy and think like a surgeon or some sheet when it comes to germs.

Well that was random..

Lol yeah I think I did everything right. I cleaned my razor with biosep or whatever it's called. Cut and put cutting immediately into cup of water. Once I had all cuttings I scraped off the thin layer then used lots of rooting gel. I then stuck the cutting into the jiffy pellet things and in my test in the box. Oh and I cut the leaf tips. I read that's supposed to help with rooting. But I dunno we will see. It's been 24 hours and they look good so far.
