Revegitate? Help!

OK, I have done two so-so grows with bubbleponics. Not huge yields, but not bad considering I almost killed them both times, while learning by doing. I'm getting this down, but I got myself kinda screwed now.

My last grows were short autoflowers because I wanted easy and have limited room and lighting. This time, I tried some random seeds, just to give it a shot.

I sprouted and planted 3 seeds, but only 2 made it. My fault, but that's another story and lesson learned.

Of the 2, one was a beast, taking over my limited grow space. The other one had a decent side, and the other side kinda poked through where it could. With my amazing luck, when I flowered them, the big, healthy one was male, and the scrawny one was a girl.

My first reaction was, fuck it, I'm growing them both. After some reading, cooler heads prevailed and I realized I had to kill the male. So I cut him down, sheding a tear, and he looked amazing. He is on my garage floor now. I just can't seem to finish the job. Bad news, the female was worse then I imagined. One side is OK, but the other side makes Charlie Brown's christmas tree look like a monster.

I think I have two options.... I suck it up and see what yield she can do. Or, I can put her back on 24/0 and try to get her to grow again.

Today was the first time I saw sex, so she hasn't been in flower long. I changed the light cycle less then a week ago. I know they had more growing to do, even though they were at 16 or 17 branches high. I'm sure there is a term for that...nodes maybe...but anyway, I counted 17 "nodes" high....3-4 times that many actual main branches. I flowered because I could see I was running out of space, and I hear they continue to grow a lot after flowering. Which is another thing that leads me to think I should just leave her alone. Will she still grow and fill in that side somewhat even when flowering?

I miss the autos. Short, easy, feminized. I just freak out about ordering seeds.

I think I'll try the random seeds once more, but flower them much e/arlier to match my space, or lack of.

Sorry for the rambling, I tend to do that when high. :-P My actual question is, should I let her flower and hope for the best, or try to re-veg and get more growth, at the expense of losing a bunch of time where I could be moving on to the next try? Will the time it takes to re-veg be worth it since there is only one plant

Well if you are running out of room i would keep it budding. The plant can grow to 2-3 times the size it is now.The plant will start to fill back in a little but wont be the same as a good veging with no crowding. The ideal thing would be take it off 12/12 and put it on 24/0 for a couple of weeks to a month and let it start to reveg. As it reveges it will fill back in.Im assuming the side that was worse than charlie browns christmas tree was either shoved to the wall or the male just choked that side out due to it (the male)getting so big

You should have kept the male and pollinated the two, you would not have to worry about seeds then, but oh well!!

I considered that, but I am growing for personal use. I have a decent bag of random seeds, and since I can only do 2-3 plants at a time, 15 seeds can get me through a year. I figured I was better off to get some off one plant, then to get a bunch of seeds and nothing that I can really use. I don't even know what this strain is, or if they were the same strain. Just by the leaves, I think they were different. I could have gotten a bunch of Frankenstein seeds....

I didn't actually realize the shape the female was in, until I pulled the male out. I knew she was the runt of the two, but not how bad. I can now see she was stretching to get more light over the male. One side looks OK, but the other side didn't really grow branches.

Dowd, thanks for the reply. Yes, she has one bad side because of the male crowding her out. I actually have decent room width-wise now, but she is topped out on height. I just don't see her producing enough extra by spending a month putting her into veg and then re-flowering. I think I will let her go, tie her over to make best use of my new room, and get what I get. I agree it would be ideal to re-veg, but I just don't think the payoff is there. I might be wrong....I'm still learning a lot.

Then I can move on in a few weeks, and spend that month trying again instead of maybe increasing her yield...

I'd love to hear any other thoughts if they are out there.
