restarting plants outside back to vegging or grow phase

hey is there any way to restart my growing phase like cover with tarp for a while 24hr or how and will that work and not stres them to hermaphrodite.

alright outdoors u cant reveg a plant with the hrs. of light that are available this time of year, covering it is only gonna shorten the light hrs, so if u can bring it inside and put it under 18 hrs light it will reveg (provided its not to long in flowering), idk y you'd wanna do this neways, cut your losses and suck up the fact that ur gonna have a small plant, y try to prolong the plants life, so it doesnt finish be4 the freeze
