Resolutions

I know that it's early, but I was curious if any of you thought about your New Year's resolution?

Personally I want to build a cabin on my land behind my garage.
Finish my vehicle builds.
Last but not least, I need to stop being such a glutton. I want to eat healthier, eat less meat(bring on the hate and such I know it's on its way.) I have meat with EVERY meal, and not just a little bit, I'd say a good 85% of each meal is meat. Plus it'll be a good way to save my hard earned and hunted game.
Going hand in hand with not being a glutton, I want to commit to working out more. I'm average build, but I personally feel I could loose a few and feel better about myself.:peace:

Get some simple hand weights. Target sells them. You can work out at home whenever you want and do about 100 different things with them. 5 days a week will get you ripped if you also eat better.

My resolution: Quit drinking. Luckily this coincides with legal pot shops opening on January 1st here in Colorado.

gain 20 lbs of lean muscle mass in the next 8 months and cut 3% body fat

Easy.

Squats.
Lunges.
Push-ups.
Modified push-ups.
Shoulder presses.
Curls.
Hammer curls.
Reverse curls.
Lateral raises.
Romanian dead lifts.
Etc.

Anything you can do with a barbell you can do with cheap dumbbells.

I've already gained 32 lbs of lean muscle mass in the last 6.5 months I have a clean eating diet of 3500-4000 calories and 225g of protein a day and I train hard already. started 142 8% body fat, currently 174 7.5% going for 195 and 4.5%

Your dedication is admirable. I usually lose steam 3 weeks in, then get fat for a few months, then 3 more weeks of training... It goes like that.

about a month and a half 2 months in i got really serious, once you see the results it becomes an addiction. you have to want it more than most, wake up every day and ask yourself who you want to be. I wake up and its the first thing on my mind, i started this clean eating diet a little over a month ago thats got me leaping forward, 6 meals a day

i use lazar angelov's diet

  • Meal 1: Oat Flakes and 6 Egg Whites
  • Meal 2: Whey Protein, Rice and Chicken Fillets
  • Meal 3: Whey Protein and Almonds
  • Meal 4: Rice and Chicken Fillets
  • Meal 5: Tuna Fish and Salad
  • Meal 6: Protein Shake

I could do that for about 2 days. lol

Rice has been getting a bad rep with elevated levels of arsenic recently though.

Edit: Also Tuna isn't recommended more than 1-2 times/week due to mercury.

my resolution is to make everything go as effortlessly as possible by following the boy scout motto: be prepared.

life is so nice when you are not having to clean up your own messes or redo your own half assed work. do it right the first time, take your time, plan ahead, take the time to think it out thoroughly, and then act.

it's a simple plan, but i feel like i spoiled almost my whole year by simply half assing a simple task here or there at exactly the wrong time.

Know the feeling all too well unfortunately UB.

......snip..........i feel like i spoiled almost my whole year by simply half assing a simple task here or there at exactly the wrong time.

Am I married to you, or is this simply a characteristic of most men, half-assed with a side of stubborn refusal to read, or even take, directions?

PS procrastination is my issue. I might make a resolution about it but I'll think about it later.

Breakfast: 2 bagels with cream cheese for breakfast, 8 cups of coffee, no sugar but whole milk for creamer. glass of juice
Lunch : 2 bananas, maybe a couple tacos, lots of water throughout the day
Dinner: Big steak, lots of potatoes ( scalloped are my favs ), real butter and sour cream, sliced red peppers and some steamed spinach
Night: Lots of Jim Beam

I'm the picture of health !!!!!!!
