Reset my smaller girls and clones.

Hi friends,

I am putting my big girls into flower tomorrow, but I stupidly took some clones a couple of weeks back and they are now nice little plants. I also have some small plants I don't want to put into flower yet.

My question is:
I have made a smaller area for veg with a weaker light source, if I put all the plants and clones into dark for 24 hours and then put them under the weaker light on a 22/2 will that be ok, or will it kill them or turn them hermie?

I am growing in soil.
600 watt Dual HPS

I am also wondering about this. if you start to flower a plant to find sex can you revert it back to veg before it starts budding?

Do I put them in 24hrs of darkness first though to 'reset' them?

Also, I thought clones should have over 20hrs of light first, then when in veg 18/6, no?

Ok, so I think I'm getting mixed messages here (or maybe I'm stupid )

So I don't put the clones in the dark for 24hrs, just straight under 24hrs of light?
