Repotting autos need recommendation

I'm going to have to repot some autos. They were freebies and the auto isn't my thing but I wanted to try out these genetics. I potted seeds in solos to start in a warmer room than my main room. How big and old should I wait to repot and move them in the big room? I know it's not ideal thing to do with autos but my main grow is regs. And I probably will move to 12/12 in a month or two. Will that ruin the autos? Thanks!

Depending on how old they are right now you could be fine, or doomed. ☺
It may not be worth reporting.
12/12 will definitely reduce yield, but if the genetics are good, the bud will also be good.

They're only 3 or 4 days old. So I'm afraid to repot right now cause they barely have roots.

How about this: get your next pot size ready and as you’re adding in soil, put an empty solo cup in and as your filling tamp the soil down just a BIT! Then pull OUT the empty solo cup - this will leave a void the exact size you need - carefully turn out the seedling and drop it into the prepared hole. Granted I haven’t done this with a pot plant, but it works great on any other plant! :-)

Repot as stated ( final container ) ... Bury any stretched stem ... MIST lightly with water.

Pick a schedule ( 18/6 - 20/4 or 24/0 ) and stick with it start to finish.

Autos do not need to be flipped 12/12.

Thanks! I like the sound of this method.

I have other plants going and think I have to switch to 12/12 in 1-2 months.

i wouldnt go less than 18/6...good thing about autos is you can flower in your veg room.i hear 20/4 is the best regimen

Unfortunately, I don't want to leave in veg area because that light is puny and I don't have odor control in it. So I have to move into room that will go into flower before autos finish. Also not enough room for big pots for the autos. Maybe 2 gals.

Thanks for all your ideas! Maybe I'll get into these autos. And maybe I'll pollinate a few with regs. One is Northern Lights I hear good for pain and insomnia, may have some cbd. Other is Diesel, may be good for pain and stress.

You can transplant them as long as their not root bound. So if the tap hasn't circled the bottom of the cup your fine. I start in 16oz cups then transplant to 5 gal. Smart pots. It allows me to only take the best seedlings.

Cool. I transplanted the autos to 2 Gal pots. They're somewhere around 14 days. The Northern lights is growing fastest. In about 30 days I'll be going 12/12 as I have no choice. Early indication is I have an Ethiopian male sativa. So I'll cross that with an auto and see what that creates.

According to the mephisto grow guide transplanting autos is fine as long as you are careful. I currently have 2 Ripleys OG and 2 Alien V Triangle F2 in solo cups.

There's too much bad info out there. I strongly recommend their guide for all things auto.

I normally start autos in final pots.

You don't want them getting too rooted in the solo cup as the tap root is part of the flowering mechanism.

You don't want to put it in 12/12. Its not worth it. Yield will be shit. Maybe a few joints worth. I tried it.

As far as transplanting just let the soil get on the dry side and squeeze the sides a bit and flip it upside down and let it slide out. Put the stalk between your middle and ring finger when you turn the cup upside down.

I would wait until they are a week to ten days old before removing from the cup.
