Repot went well, new soil, perlite and lights, whatya think?

Repotted 4 of my plants that where in plain soil and under 1 x 20w cfl now repotted and are in orchid soil with perlite added and under 4 cfl 30w lights for the time being til i can buy better ones

hopefully everything goes to plan and they were not too stressed

Hoots, mon. Looks lovely. What's the spec of the orchid soil? Does it say anything on the bag about what's in it, ph etc?

Nope doesnt say just says 50% peat? Says its got sufficient nutrients for plants to feed on for upto 6 months? Is this bad?

Dunno. People get all lairy about miracle grow soil on here...
I recon just keep additional ferts to a minimum for now until you're sure the soil's not too hot. Could be it has all you need. Maybe being a 'flower ' soil it could be high in k rather than n? I'm sure somebody on here will have tried orchid soil out before.

Hiya HH, Looking good so far mate, I did a quick Search and apart from it being a little too Acidic for Cannabis you should be fine...some peeps on some Forums have used it and some basically say it's the Devil incarnate(Bit like Miracle Grow arguments/debates??)

...Its not the best thing for Mj from what I read but as one Guy states..You can grow Mj in pretty much owt...

You've added Perlite and IMO as long as you DON'T use any Nutes for at least the first IDK maybe 4 weeks I think you will be fine..

I mean when I first started I was using the £1.99 for 60Ltrs Crap from BM Bargains and the Poundland stuff, but had few issues with gnats or whatever flying fu*kin things..so just switched to Organic Compost and I ROLS(Recycle My Mix) now anyways..

Cheers dude, though Me I'm not in it for Reps...In-fact since the "Likes" have been down I think they should have disabled the Reps too, system kinda gets abused or misused and in the end will be meaningless!! But again Thanks...I just remember what it was like when I started Growing and asking Questions on Different Forums(I mean I was reading books and Whole threads on stuff) and while some people can be very helpful others can be complete twats! R.I.U. is pretty safe and pretty balanced...Many more Good Folks than not..in-fact some of the peeps on here are a Hoot and always cheer me up...why I stuck with R.I.U. I guess...

LOL orchid soil...? my favorite plant but there a lot to keep an eye on, orchids grow in the tropics up in trees, they have strange roots that suck water out of the air, and most the time they suck food of the tree they are jambed in, over the years I have made a lot of money of these plants, cause chicks with the cash just love them ....lol
That said...keep an eye on your plants, most orchid soils are low in (N) and high in the other two (K) + (P) all three are mobile so the plant can pick and choose, but as the most of this mix is peat, you are gonna be holding a lot of water in those pots, again mix with 30-50% sand or perlite to dilute this water holding ability, and hence the nutes that will cause issues later.

Time to upgrade that bulb, to atleas 3more at 20w 2 at 6500k and 2 at 2700k, and a small fan...as plants gotta breathe too ...
