Reported Posts...We Just Might Win In Iraq pt.2

It probably wouldn't be the NSA that did anything. Because according to law they can't operate on U.S. soil against U.S. citizens. It would probably been the treasury dept., since that is who the secret service is part of.
Under Bush, they're all one in the same, with unlimited spying authority, Hell, he even wants to start a neighborhood spy watch, rewarding your nieghbors for reporting suspicious activity, shades of Hitlers programs. They are chipping away at our constitution slowly but surely, all in the name of fear. I believe I've read a few scenarios where this leads to total dictatorship, heil Bush!

And yet you would be perfectly happy if the federal government confiscated 7% of our economy, namely our health care system, and converted it into a government entity, garnering a HUGE increase in government power.

All I can say is that you have a huge case of flexable principles, Med.

Thank you, thank you very much. You have to be flexible as no one mantra works for everyone. Yes I would give the government a chance at a not-for-profit health care system. they do rather well with VA care as long as Bush doesn't keep cutting funding. You people with money or great health insurance cant understand why we want this. As I've stated, my care is adequate, but there are hundreds of thousands of people, actually millions that have either bogus insurance or none, and by eliminating the fraudulent insurance companies (Profit miesters) and sending the HMOs packing, I'm pretty sure we could trust the government to deliver better care. This will be a hard sell, as so many politicians get big money from these lobbiests, but if the people hold a mandate on it, we might get it passed.

With what we spend on the (T.W.A.T) (the war against terror) a month we could fund Universal Health Care for a year. On that your bucket don't hold no water Vi...
I'm willing to bet you that Universal Health Care will become a fact with in 5-10 years...

The T.W.A.T. ??? *lol* You crack me up, Dank.

Hey, I KNOW universal health care is coming. Its smells strong in the wind. My worry is this ... Once government gets ahold of something it NEVER lets go. There's a good chance that I won't be around by the time its instituted, but when it is, I hope the people who voted it in are satisfied with what they've created. Norway, Sweden and France are all turning back partially to private health care.

No-one is saying you can't have private health care. Heaven forbid the elites might have to go to DR. dorkwad and get the wrong testicle removed. There will still be for profit health care for the rich, quit yer bitchin.

Wrongo, my fellow Panga fisherman. Did you read any part of the Hillary-Care proposal? It forbade ANY private contracting between patient and doctor, with penalties for noncompliance set at $10,000 and/or jail time.

I thought you knew ... the woman is a totalitarian. The only way government can get the citizens to go against human nature is by the use of force.
