You aren't going to get a definitive answer. I really doubt any test have been conducted. I suspect they are not going to touch flat white paint or foylon as far as intensity of reflected light. Also, they are not designed for use around electriity and lights, so safety may be a concern.

if it can keep something passively hot for 3 hours, id imagine it does a good job at keeping heat in, as for reflectivity... its Low Density Polyethylene if that helps.

Its shiny. Some people confuse shiny with reflective, or assume if its silver it must reflect better than white. They allready had it or it was cheap to them. You'll see all sorts of improvisations in this hobby. Some are less than effective, many are less than efficient.

you can go and buy 6 grabpacks of chips and use the packaging like ive seen some of these kids do on here...:bigjoint::lol:

ima stick to the white paint, was just wondering the pros and cons to using it, i had them in the truck of my car
