when they are vegging they will be on the same light schedule.. you dont need to change it to 12/12 till about a month or so when you sex them, and by that time you can prune them back to fit your space needs
 
i ran into the same prob, well if ur seeds crack within 6 hrs from each other itll be easy becuz u can let them stay on light for 24 hr while the late ones can catch up by using 18 hr /6 then set them all to 18 /6

just add or minus an hour everyday til they get even remember u want them to have a steady cycle but u shouldnt worry til they break thru soil
 
either one of those light cycles whether it be 18/6 or 24/0 are both vegetative cycles... 12/12 is a flowering cycle
 
yup basically use 24/0 to align their timing together (remmeber i like my plants [who broke through soil] to have a dark period n a regular light cycle) good luck on ur whole crop
