removing yellow leaves?

would it be beneficial or not to remove the lower leaves of these, so the plant can concentrate on the new growth??

Yes If the leaves are dead remove them. Your plant is sick a little.

yea im not sure whats wrong.. should I just pinch the branch completely off then?
