Relocating to Washington from New Mexico

My husband and I are considering a permanent move from Santa Fe to Bellevue and I'm hoping to start generating friendships and connection to the Seattle area...

My love is a medical card holder here in New Mexico (Chronic Pain - Rheumatoid Arthritis & combat-related PTSD) and I am a caregiver and advocate. It would appear that the qualification process will be similar in Washington, though I'm not quite clear about how growers/dispensaries are structured. (Here, there is an application process for non-profit growers and they are allowed 95 mature plants at any given time... orders must be placed online for delivery with no physical dispensaries, which is less than ideal).

If anyone has any helpful information regarding being a medical marijuana patient in WA or moving/living near Seattle, I'd be very grateful to hear from you.

Living in Washington with a recommendation you can legally grow 15 plants at a time and have 24 ounces dried on deck. As far as dispensaries there aren't any. There are coops that kind of ride the line between legal and illegal but I can't speak to them as I have never been to one. I know people on this site have visited some of the collectives though and could tell you more. However, you can pretty much keep yourself in a perpetual cycle if you had the space and intention of growing, or keep yourself stocked up from the 15 plants. I know that no dispensaries isn't ideal and a little ridiculous but the laws here on growing are pretty chill. Just can't be in sight, and I am sure your husband could easily get a recommendation through either THCF or CBR medical.

I am a newbie MMJ patient from WA state. I've been to two dispensaries/co-ops (NEC 420 Club and Sacred Plant Medicines) and have been well served each time. Good product, and fair. And while the law though being in effect since 1998 is still quite murky in some areas, it seems like they are constantly fine-tuning this law.
But I had no problems getting my card, and niether will you. Welcome and good luck!
