Reflectors

Hi all

So I have been around the block several times now educating myself on lumen, lux, cfl, fluoro, LED, HID etc
So from all this I have concluded, cfls great for starting plants, Fluorescence's are bulky, LED to expensive and HID
seems to be the right option lumens and penetration to dollars. So I am awaiting my grow tent in the mail,
dimensions are 2'x2'x5'3" (60cmx60cmx157.5cm) and I plan on doing 2-3 plants. I figure a 250w light will put
me where I need to be (150w shitty and 400w overkill). My question is about heat, as I am on a tight budget
the big names are not really an option, if need be I will go with the sun system 250 ($209+tax). The "winged reflectors"
all over ebay seem to be cheapest lamps, with a 250w in that space and no cooling options on hood how will my temps be?
Is there a way or a need to extract the heat from that size light?

just get the can 90 filter and a 4in 200cfm fan hang it at the top of the ten and duct out. the fan and filter should cost you about 120-140. worth the investment

You can go to lowes get you 2 of the 2ft t5 lights and out in there. These were on a lil bigger scale but still t5's all the way thru
You will just have to get you some grow bulbs, but still pretty cheap lights are only 20 bucks a piece for the fixture and you can get grow bulbs for 10 bucks each

yeah but its a decent jump in wattage from 2' to 4' like 26w a tube compared to 40w, also 4tubes would pretty much clog up the tent.

Awesome, so directly cooling the light ie a cool tube isn't necessary at such low wattage as long as I am extracting the heat from the tent in general? If so then sweet I can get a 250w winged kit for $140CAD from ebay. SWEET!
