reflecting light to bottom of plant?

would it be a bad idea to put some mylar or reflective material around the net pots to cover the grow rocks?

my seedlings are 1 week old so a lot of light is just hitting the floor and being wasted.

would doing this improve plant growth or it is bad to add reflecting light from bottom up?

A plants photo-receptors are on the tops of the leaves, to that leads me to believe that light from underneath would have no useful effecy. Having said that, i've never tried so it may or may not actually do any thing.
