Reflecting light outdoors

Quick question,

I painted some cardboard white and placed it near my outdoor plant to reflect some light on a side that wasn't getting as much sun. Is this ok or can it damage the plant? thanks yall

The sun penetrates pretty well. If the entire plants is exposed to the sun and with the only shadows being created by its own growth there is no need to redirect the suns light. But if your trying to get some additional light to an area of the plant shaded by other growth around it then no worries. White cardboard wont cause a hot spot by no means. Either case its all good...

it cant damage the plant IMO i have done similar things, only downside is a white anything in a sea of gree is a real eye catcher make sure you have a secure area. all in all reflecting is good just dont go overboard!
