yesum Well-Known Member Dec 1, 2012 #3 Flower should be double the watts of veg or that is what I do. You can hardly over do light in flower. Using cfl I would put as much light and as close to plant as you can.

zack66 Well-Known Member Dec 2, 2012 #6 I run my hps during flower but, the last 2 weeks I raise it 8 inches or so to resemble fall.

Maybe you were accidentally misinformed. For vegetation lumen requirements are lower than in the flowering photoperiod. A single plant can vegetate properly with 2500 lumens. In flowering a plant can grow successfully with 10,000 lumens.
