Red'ish coloring on fan leafs

the two puctures in attachment shows what i mean.

i have noticed over last few days /week. than my fan leaves are getting a red'ish color too the leaves. it strats from centre and moves out towards the leaf edges. plant in general is very healthy and a lush green except when closer inspection shows the red banding on leafs.

plant info:

bagseed, has been said its white rusian, hindu kush etc etc. i have no real clue on strain. i think its indica.
feeding every 5 days.
lst from seedling
was feeding on MG. now swapped too baby bio liquid
placed in soil medium
58w's = 2x 20w 2700k @ 1200 lumen, 1x 18w @ 2700k 900 lumens
15 hrs lights on 9hrs lights off
temps @ 85f lighting on, 66/70f lighting off.
9 nodes on stem - 10 inch length (lst) and 3 inch high (lst)

any advice on this redish taint too my leaves please. could it be the strain or could it be a underlaying problem.

looks healthy to me
i would say its due to temperature getting below say 55f and not anything i would worry about.
hmm editing as i just realised you stated 66f as your low temp. in which case i will agree its the strain none the less it looks very healthy and i would keep going just as you are

most likely its the strain, there a few that show red cahracteristics. could also be K deficiency

my MG fert i was using was NPK 0.2-0.2-0.2

i upped my fert too baby bio

nitrogen 10.6%
phosphorus pentoxide 4.4%
phosphorus pentoxide solouble in water 4.4%
potassium oxide 1.7%

and thank you, would you know what strains have this red'ish coloring and would they be indica by any chance.

Hey tamzi, it is probably the strain then, i have some outside that are starting to show a little redish everywhere but thats due to lowish temps, nothing much to worry about tho.

Just remember when your switch to flowering to switch your npk feeding to like 2-5-9
Your gonna want a low Nitrogen when flowering.

my local store is fairly rubbish for nuets, the dedicated garden store is a good few miles away and walking would kill me.

they stock baby bio and baby bio orchid food. the other ferts have high N&P but nothing with just a high P %. eg: 7-5-2 , 7-7-4 so im very unsure on what too use

will keep looking for something with just a high P percentage

thank you again

what u want is high P&K which is P= phosphourus, K= potassium. can u shop online?
it will be a good idea for you to start composting if u have a hard time getting good nutes. then you can add what ever u want in your nutes to your compost. plus its a good way to get rid of trimmings, stalks, rootballs etc...

may have found the cause for red leaf blades.

inspection of plant and nodes. i notice what looks like female pre flowers.

6th node up on stem has NO side shoots, but has two small teardrop shaped nodules with a single fine hair ( it looks like a hair). i dont believe the plant is an autoflower pheno.

is it known for side shoots too look like pre flowers ?. plant has been under 15hrs light and never been given a full 12 dark period. it stays under 2x 20w 27000k flowering cfl's.

any ideas if sideshoots have been known too look like pre flowers ?. if not i have some weird plant showing pre flower without any light change. and im sure it is not auto flower .

i snapped a couple of shots, sorry if pic not very good my hands are a bit shakey when trying too get realy close pictures.

do you think these are pre flowers or could they be sideshoots pretending too be flowers. these are on main stem two nodes down from top. i have lots of new sideshoots low down on stem but no new growth sideshoots after node 6 - 7

It's a girl! congrats!
omg omg im a father

this is my first ever plant too make it too flowering. most get too leggy from windowsill and i end up culling them before too large.

another question for you all. how long have i got too harvest some sideshoot clones and keep them in veg ? most sideshoots have only 1 or 2 nodes.

thank you guys, and im glad the red leaves was sign of flowering.

only have this picture. you can just make out the sideshoots between the LST hooks fitted too pot they around one too two inch high. its heavly LST with metal hooks and stays around 3 inch high (total plant high) too allow the sidestems too become colas.

i wasnt expecting u to have an lst going, nice! i havent done one of those in years.
looks like a very nice start.

anyways, i would say in two weeks u will have sufficient length to clone a side branch. its kind of hard to say after a training. since like most plants cannabis is an antigravity plant. meaning all the energy will be sent to the highest point in the plant first, then what is left trickles down. so in an lst, whichever side branch gets the head start will then become the main receiver of the nutes, until u tie that down, then whichever is next in line. a good lst will keep all side branches at approximately the same height. it looks like u are doing great tho, sorry for ramblin, i just always liked lst..

thank you lolipop

yes this is my very first LST. never done it before, i used a few ideas i had seen on the site. the first node never produced any sideshoots. but the next two nodes produced 4 huge leggy shoots then the rest of the nodes have small shoots forming. three nodes from top of plant now have pre flowers, the top of plant is going crazy, huge amounts of small fine leaf and alotta pre flowers. plant is around one too two month old max.

i try too keep the plants top tied down, soon as new node length around 2-4 cm i start too re-tie tip down. i found this stresses the plant a little but lets alot of light into nodes.

today is her second 12hr dark period. im not sure if plant is a autoflower or not, so too be safe i placed her into flowering, best be safe than sorry i thought.
