yeah I think I planted too late to be honest (november) I'm thinking early September next season will be better and 8 ordered 2 packs of autos so I'll run em again then or maybe start some now and put em outdoors mid Feb? Would it be better now that the days are getting shorter? I know zero about autos
I've never grown them, but from what I hear it's best to grow them in mid-summer when the days are longest. Since they flower no matter the light hours, you get more bud growth when the days are longer and the sun brighter. Bob is the auto guy though. He does a little breeding with them.
He's an Aussie who grows in the rainforest in the winter. Grows autos in the summer. I think bobqp is his handle.
Great you are getting it dialed in. My IPM game is lagging. Outdoors you are going to have bugs, and I've always grown enough that I didn't stress too much over pests. Now I try to spray everything with neem once a week, but that is about all I do unless I have real problems. I spend so much time getting to my patches, it doesn't leave me a lot of time to spend with each plant. Plus I try not to go up in the day. I check them at sunrise or sunset. So often the lighting isn't great when I'm there.

Bugs dont stress me at all anymore I just roll with it and being diligent and methodical wins everytime. I got hit so hard one year that now I've just become tuned in and can spot them before they even become a issue and that's where experience and pain come into play once you get stung real hard you never forget how bad it can get and I find myself eyeballing my plant everyday and can see the tell tell signs from that experience which is super helpful to my overall result.
No doubt. In the winter/spring crop of 16-17 one of mine was wrapped up with spider mites. I didn't check them in the daytime because they were right out in the open. Only found them on chop.
Guerilla grow is a different animal altogether get caught walking around with a sprayer and your charged for every plant within 5 miles but theres something special about guerilla buds growing in those stressed environments.
I plant a few peach trees in my woods. And talk about them a lot.
Had a mate drop seeds at the local walking trails and there were literally plants every 10 20 yards they all got chopped but the pics were epic got about waist high before anyone took notice they blend really well in the Bush.

I wouldn't get to excited mate. Why would a Hydro owner want an out door consultant? Why would farmers want or listen to advice from someone with no Horti or AG back ground? Would you take agricultural advice from someone who recently killed his plants with round up? I don't know where you live but the farmer today is normally university educated and hires in other university or qualified consultants for around a thousand bucks a day. In fact Poppy growers have no say on what happens as big pharma tells the farmer when to irrigate, feed, everything... Medical is looking at going the same way which was always expected as to grow it you have to have a contract with big pharma- same as poppies.
