Red Stems?!?!?!?

sorry this isn't in plant problems...no one's in there now...

my plant has red stems, now....they used to be purple...any advice?

red stems are usually caused by N P K or MG defenciency.

sounds like phosphorus deficency, some purple or red color is normal but usually only in the fan leaves.

I seem to always get the purple stem on my sprouts and some fan leaves. never seen it turn red, but it doesn't sound life threatening. I'd bump up the nutes just a tiny bit and see how that helps. goodluck growin!

In all likelihood it's the genetics. All my plants are red/purple, most striped. It's a wonderful sign, nothing to try and stop.

the colorful stems as everyone has stated could be genetics, temps, and defiencies. no need to worry unless growth has been stunted or the plants seem to be having problems.

nah, thanks for the concern guys...gave her some bloom booster miracle gro and they went back from red to purple

she's growin at a good rate so the purple may be great genetics
