Sup ya'll, this my 4th grow and this its random seeds. Cuurently have a 4weekish old plant. Stem are really red on this one, almost seem like a p def but no other signs of it except those red stem...any input? Mery xmas ..keep it green...
that is your problem. It is stripping your plant of mineralsDh20 distiled
I would check the ppms of your tap, but it usually is fine. distilled is ok if you add the missing stuff back to it. I use a product called cal/mag plus that works for that.So would I be better using tap water comes out at 8 ph it to 6.2? Im growing in soil 600w
I agree. Looks healthy to me. Probably genetics. The red stems are only on the top of the branches or is the whole branch turning red? The new growth looks fine,I think its genetics,my opinion.
like I said, it is just starting and continuing to use distilled will make the stems get more red and the leaves start to yellow, I keep saying it, i keep proving it.I agree. Looks healthy to me. Probably genetics.
I would still add cal/mag to distilled water. It is void of minerals and will pull them from the soil and plant.
My wife bought a bunch of distilled water by accident. After a few days of drinking it, I felt bad and hurt in my back and kidneys. I don't eat a lot of salt.like I said, it is just starting and continuing to use distilled will make the stems get more red and the leaves start to yellow, I keep saying it, i keep proving it.

I added a small pinch of sea salt to the water and I felt better and quit hurting.
I firmly believe that drinking distilled water pulls minerals from your body.
well, lets see, 90 % of the time that i see red stems/yellow leaves,I see people using distilled and r/o water. 10% is genetics. This guy is using distilled water, why not eliminate that issue? The plant may yellow in the future but does that really mean the stems are turning red from lack of cal/mag/iron and nitrogen now? Ive seen plenty of red stems on perfectly healthy plants, but who knows you could be right.
why do people call a discussion on a forum a battle? It's a forumI got ya man, just saying I see red stems on plants that are fine and I use %0 distilled. But this isnt a battle I was just offering my experience just the same as you.![]()
