Hello all. I have two plants going right now, my first grows. The one in question right now is this fire bagseed. Its been growing rather slow, its at least 2 1/2 weeks old. There is red spots on the leaves as of today. Anyone know what it could be?

hi man, could be 1 or several things.

looks like a nute deficiency, are you using any food yet? As if not its maybe time to start a half dose at this age, if you are feeding them, could be slight nute burn, but usually tends to affect the tips first. Is it nute-rich soil?

give them a flush to eliminate toxic salt build up. then feed once 2" of top soil is dry, as remember they need air as much as they need water, or u could see rot root, hence stunted growth.

Let your water sit out before feeding, and make sure you pH test, this will stop chlorine burn to your plant.

also if you are spraying leaves under lights, any water droplets can cause leaf burn due to heat magnification. What wattage/type bulb are you sticking them under, could be too strong for seedlings?

have you got a fan giving them fresh airflow? if not id say get 1 in there as u dont want mould due to high humidity.

hope you finger the problem soon, just go through all possible scenario's and you should get it right mate..

Good luck.

Thanks JVO but I dont see any pests around the plant. Hey Greenthumbs Im not using any nutes yet, I was waiting to start a grow to have a little more cash to spend on it, but my boy hooked me up with this seed so I tried it out. What nutes would you start something small like this on? I want a better setup, just have a couple 26watt CFL's a couple inches from it. Maybe this is why they arent growing so nicely. Will get my setup nice soon, when I get some dough to spend. They are pretty much out in the open, on my kitchen table, so airflow should be adequate I believe. Have not done a PH test, have a filter on my sink, but last time i WATERED, i DO BELIEVE i USED STRAIGHT TAP. I have sprayed the leaves leavingn water droplets, but being Im only running 2 CFL's under it, Im pretty sure its not burning but hey, wtf do I know lol. I appreciate the feedback bro, thanks a lot. Cheers....
