Red hair question

I couldn't help noticing that a few buds on my plant havent opened yet but that red hairs are sticking out of them.

my plant is in her 3rd week of flowering and is looking quite healthy. It's just those few buds that I'm wondering about. they have the two pistils sticking out but are dark red.

all my other buds went through the same process but didnt start off red always white.

I did a little research and I found that the hairs arent suposed to turn red until harvest...

I saw nothing about pistils starting off red.

are some of the buds no good? I have a lot on it but still seems like such a waste.

I'm hoping it's nothing but I can't stand to risk it. :peace:

I'm having the same problem. I'm in the fourth week and they keep gettin more and more red

A pic would help but sometimes they do that.. If the plant is healthy I wouldn't worry about it...

pictures are worth a thousand words...

all the hairs turn red when it gets closer to harvest. some people harvest by the hairs, you are supposed to harvest by the trichomes. you will hear people say when its "80/20" its time for harvest -- thats 80% amber trichomes 20% cloudy, not 80% red hairs, 20% white.

and the new growth will always have white hair.

the hairs and the trichomes often match, but the resin glands are what you want.

Well I do know that when your plant gets pollinated the pistols will turn brownish and start to dry up. I have one that is seeded right now, and it looks like red hairs if you did not look closer and see that she was actually pregnant. She is just a couple of weeks into flower though.

ur plant is starting with red pistils instead of white??????
could be ur strain.....some have yellow,some have pink
