Record Players

When I was a kid we used vinyl records, LP's, 45's and yes even 8 Tracks.
My family had an eclectic collection of records, ranging from Big Band greats such as Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman to Rock greats like The Beatles and Frank Zappa, we were taught the etiquette of handling the tools of the trade and still our hands shook when dropping into the groove.
Today I find myself in search of a "media" player that will give some sense of that nostalgia, though I know it's not the same thing I still search for something more then just the sterile player. So far my search has brought me to a rather impressive device, it offers not only the typical player settings but includes a wealth of other options making it worth a look for any serious music lover.

Mediamonkey is the player but I was curious if there might be something I've missed that is better, meaning does it offer more then just an equalizer lol.

What media player do you use?

The ones I've tried in the past:

Windows {of course}
Winamp
VLC
Realplayer

Bro you've got to get it trust me on this one, some serious stuff going on, especially if you've got a large amount of files, I've got a little over 65gigs and need to add more.

Was thinking of something like this for the new one

win amp for messing about, windows media player, full of spyware, many commercial units are the similar, but for click and forget, you won't believe it, I use "MEDIA PLAYER CLASSIC" like from windows 98 or some such, don't tell billy gates, he will charge you for it, about the same as VLC with many mods or customizations, I got it from the K-Lite codec pack back in the 2000's? still the only good thing in win 98 ...lol love that player with USB ,,,lol

Mojo, saw that Denon and it reminded me of my system from the late 70's: McIntosh, Denon, Nakamichi, Altec. Still have the Mc's in storage:)
