Recommendations for Grow Setup

Hello Guys,

I was wondering if I could get some recommendations from some more experienced growers on this forum. Right now I have a simple setup in a 4' x 6' closet. I am using 6000k CFL lights, and shower poles to adjust the heights of the lights. I have 2 mother plants right now growing in soil, and I have been taking clones off and putting them into soil as well. I am wanting to upgrade my whole setup to try and make some money and maybe start a little business off of this. I live in California where I do have a little freedom with the Marijuana laws.

I would like to get or make a grow setup that can support 2 - 6 Mother plants in veg mode along with some sort of EZ Cloner setup which could produce at least 120 Clones at a time.

My budget at the moment is around $1800 American dollars.

Can anyone here recommend everything I would need in order to start my grow room that also fits my budget?

I would need to know everything to purchase such as Lights, Fans, Nutrients, and all other things required to keep the plants healthy.

Sounds like you're only looking to do clones?
You only plan on using that area?

First off let me tell you that you might be going a little too fast. This is sort of an art and you'll hardly ever hear of an artist getting into art for the money.

If you want to be a clone mill then you have another set of big problems. Plant numbers.. when your clone roots.. it's a plant. You now have 125 plants.. It's a risk.. Also, the only clones that sell are from know strains that preferably came from breeder packs. Then there are the clone only stains and be prepared to kiss some major ass to get any of those.

But, in your area for what you want, you'll want a 400-600 MH lamp for the moms and a clone rack on the side with t5's or the exclone with the t5's over it. The MH will cover a 3x3 -3.5x3.5 area leaving the rest for movement and cloning. my .02

If I was growing to sell, I'd use a 1kw hps for flowering, 400w mh for veg, and t5's for clones. Set aside a few hundred for a good exhaust fan too. A cloner is easy and cheap to build... few pumps, airstones, pucks and a rubbermaid is all you need.

I don't know what your preferences are, but 4 bags of ocean forest run me $100 (about 8x 5 gal, or 13x 3 gal), Hanna combo meter ~$150, GH calibration solution + up/down + flora series (6 bottles total) ~$80. Thermostatic switch for vent fan (regulates temps) $50, a/c $100, 3 timers $30. R/O system $150 (looks like you're planning hydro?) Neem oil, pump sprayer, medicine droppers, powdered lime, bleach, flypaper, extension cords, seedling trays and plugs, peat pots, air pots, pumps, tubing, ad infinitum.

Since you're already growing, you probably have at least some of that stuff. I had to buy my stuff week to week because cutting corners with cheap crap in critical areas was causing me a lot of problems and I'm on a tight budget. I decided on what I wanted from my grow and purchased the corresponding light, then I built everything around that. I spent well over $1k on that small hobby setup in my sig, and I still don't grow enough to smoke and sell.
