Recommendation LED or COB?

I need to upgrade a light. I ask RIU what they'd recommend for a space of...

70"x 30" x 24" (178cm x 76cm x 61cm).

What'd be the shopping list for COBs? LED strips? What and where?

Thanks in advance. SC.

COBs are LEDs, and people like them because there are hundreds of individual diodes on one chip so its very user friendly

for any LED setup you need diodes, drivers, and heatsink

for a 70 x 30" space you need about 500W of decent leds

so like 10 cobs@ 50W each ~$500 if you can build a frame

sorry im used to LxWxD, the latter of which is usually disregarded almost entirely

Think of a stand up coffin.

Hlg-320h-48 with 4 Citizen 48-1818'. All the stuff that go's with it....Question on that $200 figure? Why is shipping big bucks? No other options?

I also wanted to ask what device is available to dim the lights to off within a period of 30mins? Same function when the light comes on. Dimmed to full, 30mins?

the website overcalcs shipping on 90% of all orders so i dont have to hit people up for more money before i ship, and i refund the difference when i print the label.

drivers (esp 320 and up) and heatsinks dont always play nice when shipped together. id prob $25 on shipping for that but it may be as low as $20 or as high as $30 depending on how the boxes lay out. the good news is usps is 2-3 days instead of waiting a week for ups

@CobKits I saw you're planning to expand to the UK, is that coming up soon?

wow thats a complete ripoff!

i dont see them sticking around selling CXB chips at 45 GBP each. my prices are better on everything including international shipping

sucks, i hope they dont sully my brand name. prob not much i can do since they are in another country, i should look into trademarking, never thought id be successful enough to have imitators

There are a number of controllers out there. Most can turn drivers on and off with a relay that are not dimmable to off. Some can both dim and turn on and off. Most controllers have one on off time some have multiple on off times. My controller has both multiple on off times and dimming. I am not a paying advertiser so I can not say the name. But if you pm I can give you more info

Will it mimic the increasing light of sun rise and the diminished intensity of sun set?

So instead of blasting the plants at full power right off the bat. Does it slowly increase/decrease the light mimicking the natural cycle of the sun?
