There was a simple comparison to heat put out by two given lights and nothing more.

Why would I bring another remote ballast light into the argument no matter what type it is when there's one already in the fucking argument? You would be arguing the same exact point, you fucking half-wit: That a remote ballast does not put out anywhere near the heat in the tent that an on board ballast does.

Read that about 20 times. Then duck tape your pie hole shut, dipshit.

To the OP: Head over to the LED subsection of the Indoor Growing forum if you want to learn how to DIY a grow light. It's pretty easy once you spend some time learning the tech. Or get and HPS.

In a 3x3 for <300? Thats a CMH and a small quiet fan to exhaust.... maybe a slip on small fan blowing across the back of the fixture... Well under 300...

i know you said no diy but this is so easy. you would screw the boards into the heatsinks, wire the boards to the driver in series, and attach a power cord to the driver.

other than that i would get cmh or hps.

"2.5umoles/joule" = a massive amount of light for sod all electricity cost

Easy to upgrade "just the board" in the future when the next upgrade becomes irresistible

When they say LED, they have to be talking about blurples. There's no way I can take that article seriously if they aren't

And most here at RIU already understand that blurples are equivalent to HID in terms of efficiency.
