Really slow drying method?

Hey there
my harvest day is coming up and for some unfortanate reasons I could get called away any day now (army reserves)
I have no idea when will it be nor for how long..
could be a couple of days, weeks, or even months
I really dont want to harvest early so I'm looking for a way that I could harvast at the last minute and leave the buds unattended for what could be a long period of time
my guess is that it wont be over a month, and even if it will Im sure I could get like a weekend off or something so the goal I'm looking for is a slow drying method that could last up to a month if it's even possible

so is there anyway to accomplish this? or should I just harvest early?

Cheers

The pain in the ass way, but most effective?

Cut the plant at the base, hang it upside down, let it dry....

I find it MUCh harder to trim when the eaves are dry, but, the dry takes quite a long time and the smoke is nice and smoooooooth.

You'll probably just have to chop em and leave em hanging unfortunately.
and what if it will really over dry? will it be horrible?
It won't be horrible. It just won't be cured and probably won't smell all dank. But you can smoke it no problem. I once found a small branch that at some point during trimming had made it's way under the futon. It had sat under there for a good 4 months. Smoked just fine. It was super crispy and had little taste to it. Got me high all the same though.

Yeah, in my experience it'd still be good... especially if you did a whole plant hang because the dry itself would take a long while (assuming you don't live in the desert) and that in itself will improve flavor dramatically. Obviously the cure won't extend past however long the dry can go (14 days max, assuming ideal humidity around 50-65%) and at that point it will simply go completely dry. If I smoked my weed more often that might bother me more but since I vaporize anyway that's not a big deal, as long as the flavor works itself out in the long dry.

On the other hand you could cut it all down and freeze it straight away, then take it out and dry it when you get home.

Yeah I'm with the cut and freeze.. I'm not sure if you can get a good dry on it to say stuff a bunch of boveda packs in there and call it good.

Worse comes to worse, quick dry everything, and make an extraction from it. BHO, QUISO, magic butter etc.. water cure. This is what I would do.

If you cant care for the buds properly, and mold happens to take place, you've pretty much lost it all. happened to me, mold got me and it breaks my heart to throw that stuff away but its literally trash once that happens.

Magic Brownies are one of my favorite things. :)
