If that was my setup I'd see how much vertical space I have to grow. Measure the distance between the top of your soil to the bottom of your light. Then I'd subtract 6in or even a foot from that depending how much heat your lights put out. Use the hand trick. Place your hand six inches under ur lights and leave it the for a bit. If your good, your plants should be good. Once you figure out how close your light can be to your plants just let your plants grow a third or half of the amount of vertical space your able to grow. So if you have 10ft of vertical space to grow you want to either veg to 5ft if you know your strain will stretch double or 3ft for a strain that triples.
Also if that was my grow I'd flatten/even out my canopy by supercropping the colas that are taller then the rest.
I'd start with that if I wanted a bigger yield from my grow.
There's other things you can do but I'd start with that.
