hey guys, im setting up a rwdc, i have 4 buckets, plus a control bucket with float. Im adding a chiller in line with control bucket, but will i be ok with no chiller in main res?

i was gonna add an airstone, but dont really wanna drop more $$$ on a second chiller?

just wandering what most guys do? seems that any bacteria growing in the main res will die when it hits the rest of the cooler system?

any help appreciated!
thanks

Adding a chiller in line and placing a cooling coil in the reservoir are totally different situations, but so long as water is flowing through the inline chiller, all of the water will stay cool.

I have no idea what what adding air stones has to do with chillers, and I know a lot about both; what?

The chiller is an aquarium chiller, in line withthe control bucket, but the main res ddoesn't constantly circulate, only top.up control when level drops, know what I mean?

Do this shit poor man's style... a 30 gallon coleman cooler and 1-2 gallon jugs of ice every couple days. Insulate pipes and buckets with 2-3 layers of reflectix silver bubble wrap from home depot for extra frosty goodness.
